Marlo Mack’s podcast “How to Be a Girl” has been honored with multiple awards, including the Gold for “Best International Podcast” by the 2017 British Podcast Awards, and “Best Writing in Podcasts” by the 2017 Webby Awards. It was also selected as a 2017 Peabody finalist.

In addition, “How to Be a Girl” has been ranked by The Atlantic Monthly, The Guardian, and TIME Magazine in their annual lists of top podcasts. The CBC and the BBC both featured “How to Be a Girl” on recent broadcasts. In October 2018, Marlo Mack was the featured podcaster at the New York Times Podcast Club.

She has been interviewed and featured by numerous media outlets, including National Geographic, Scientific American, TIME Magazine, and The Economist, and is quoted in the book WHAT WE KEEP: 150 PEOPLE SHARE THE ONE OBJECT THAT BRINGS THEM JOY, MAGIC, AND MEANING, edited by former LIFE Magazine editor Bill Shapiro. Her writing on raising a transgender child has been published by Good Housekeeping, The Advocate, Salon.com, and Slate.com.
